Arad Barzegar is an Iranian, Toronto-based visual artist working mainly with oil painting, drawing, and sculpture. His work often focuses on portraits, the figure, and symbolic realism. He is interested in how faces and bodies can carry memory, vulnerability, and quiet emotional moments.
Through light, shadow, form, and surface, Barzegar explores transformation, healing, and growth while staying rooted in observation and traditional skill. His practice moves between careful study and personal expression, using the human body as a way to speak about emotional presence, change, and inner experience.
